Hard Mode Harvest
This is my first solo game jam :D Hope yall enjoy what I could put together!
Chomfruit are a rare commodity, sought after by the wizardry community for many powerful spells. They are elusive, growing only near gold-trees and sprouting during the nastiest storms.
But they're not the only creatures that come out when it rains...
Controls:
Click on "Scan", then click anywhere in the map to reveal an area.
[WASD] to move
[Left-Click] to shoot
[Spacebar] hold to recall out of the grove (after collecting enough Chomfruit)
Goal: Push your luck, collect as many Chomfruits as you can, and get outta there before you get swarmed! Once the nasty ones spawn your chances of survival drop drastically...
Once you're out, upgrade your abilities, and head back to the grove for more farming action!
Gameplay tips:
- Find as many gold-trees as possible during the reveal phase
- Keep moving to new trees if possible! There will be alot more fruits waiting for ya
- Dont be afraid to bail early if your health is low - you can hunt for more fruits next round, but it's all over if you die!
- Prime your [Spacebar] recall slightly before rushing into sticky situations to masterfully snag a final handful of fruits and yeet yourself to safety. This one's tricky, but pulling it off gives you extra badass points (from me HAHA). Do comment if you managed to do something this awesome!
